Some of the files seem to have the wrong password, I think? I unpacked hdproject1.0.part01.rar with no problems, but when I tried to unpack hdproject1.0.part02.rar, 7zip reported an error for this file:00000010.pack.lfsIt said it had the wrong password for just that file, but the rest of the files were fine. It unpacks a 0kb file with the same name (00000010.pack.lfs), whilst in the rar 00000010.pack.lfs has a size of 54 849 672.
Thank you very much for replying to my post in your busy schedule. Dealing with the problem of error reporting must have driven you crazy. But I still want to add another one (smiling face). In the chapter of the island, a mercenary took off the door card used to open the door. If Lyon checked, there would also be the problem of losing Chinese subtitles.
Hello there, ive installed the latest HD project mod as instructed, however, upon Installing it, i was completely unable to access the game whatsoever, unlike the previous version of the HD project (release 3), i did not have such issue with it, as i also recall the installation procedure was also different by being installed through the command prompt (windows 10) but im unsure if thats relevant to the issue at hand, sorry, basically, whenever i try opening the game after installing the latest 1.0 release, it gives 2 correspondent error messages as follows; i will be leaving a link below showcasing the errors.
GTX 1050 tii5 9400fHD: 1TB.As soon as I enter the game, the error appears: Assertion failed, I realized that it is because of dinput8.dll, with or without installing the textures, it gives this error, and as soon as I delete the game, it starts normally.
Hello, Albert, I was thinking that except for the common errors with other players, all the errors reflected to you in the 1.1 simplified Chinese version seem to be caused by Chinese subtitles. You have carefully made all subtitles high-definition, which is great, but it also leads to some problems. Look forward to your patch to fix this problem! Thank you for your efforts!
From that original goal that was historically the bootstrap phaseof the RBT project, I added more and more code over time. I did wantto provide better error messages as well, and hints how to resolvesomething whenever a problem happens - way before StackOverflowexisted.
Most compile-related errors are quite useless and cryptic tonewcomers. They don't understand the problem domain. So RBT alsotries to help users in that regard. Errors may be collected, andthen something useful is displayed on the commandline - at the leastthat is one goal for the RBT project. This may not always be veryuseful, but at the least that is one goal for the RBTproject. The code for this is not ideal; I am slowlyrewriting it since March 2020. (Actually, I think I may haveto rewrite the whole project past 2021 one day; but I delay thisfor now. I want to be better prepared before I rewrite it.)
From my own experience, unstable releases may bring in new features, but this often comes at a cost. Compilation errors may happen; bugsmay happen while running the software. What is even worse is thatother software may depend on functionality that may be changedduring an unstable release. (While it may also be changed in astable release eventually, stable releases in general often haveproblems fixed whereas unstable releases often do not.)
Note that the time it took to compile the given program at hand willonly be shown if there was no proble/error during the compilationprocess. This may be fine-tuned at a later time, but for now, thefunctionality at the least exists as part of RBT::Installer.
Sometimes it is not wanted to stop on errors, in particularif the error reported is not a real error. Thus, the userneeds to have a way to overrule this behaviour, which canbe done by the following commandline flag:
The file was created specifically because in the past, thelogic for handling errors was hardcoded directly into different.rb files. This made changes a bit difficult. After a while Ialso tend to forget what is all done, so I had to refresh myold knowledge, but that was tedious too.
Another reason why the file was created was so that we candescribe in more detail which particular error happens -and this is resolved in general. This way the RBT projectwill also attempt to teach and educate people aboutcompile-related problems.
You can also use class RBT::LFS to build/create a LFS from scratch. This is presently (2019) quite incomplete, though, and will not work.Lots of different things have to be done in the correct sequence beforea LFS can be built from scratch successfully, and possible errors have tobe checked before the build can continue. In the long run, for the future, this will eventually work, one day - but for now it is an incomplete stuband not recommended for testing much at all. It is simpler to use theslow, semi-manual approach for now.
The idea behind the colours is to mostly make it easier to detectwhat is going on; and in particular where errors may occur. Ipersonally found the colours to be helpful, but it is indeed VERYcolourful, which is why a commandline option exists to disablethe colours.
This would just use system() instead, which is not asadvanced, but simpler. (Won't use as many coloursfor example; and there will be fewer automatic errortracking as well. But if you prefer the simplervariant, or need to use it, this option exists forprecisely that situation.)
This functionality has been added in November 2019, but it isquite experimental at this time. My personal recommendation isto use the real name of the program, because using the .h as namecan lead to errors (such as when different programs use thesame .h file, for example).
If you wish to compile all of XFCE into a standalone directory, but wish to do so in a step-like fashion e. g. in order toreduce errors, have a look at the subsection here in thispage called Environment settings.
I myself used to stay on the "bleeding edge", thus using unstablereleases, to try to see what is new - but after some time, runninginto problems here and there, I am now convinced that the stablereleases are MUCH much better, since you will have less problemsor errors in the long run. Every time I encountered a problem relatedto an unstable release, I ended up investing via my time trying tofix the problem at hand, which often was not possible, and quitefrustrating anyway. In the end I did waste way too much time fortoo little gain, so I decided to stop making use of unstablegnome releases. Past that point I am using only the stabletarball releases, unless there is some specific reason whynot - but, 99% of the time I settle for stable releases.
Note that this will only be stored in that .yml file if no problem wasencountered during compilation - thus, assumingly, would mean that thecompilation was successful or at the least continued without majorproblems/errors encountered.
The rewritten class RBT::Installer has integrated variousimprovements. For instance, it is now possible to simplyignore compilation errors and other errors - this issometimes necessary, because RBT erroneously reportssome mistakes that are not real mistakes. The displayand handling of messages has been improved in general -you can now decide to NOT read the extract-archiveinformation, which used to be very spammy in the past.
Before that code was added, if the user got some error abouta missing .h file, there was no indicator as to whatwas missing. Now, since as of December 2022, the userwill get this notification if the program isregistered in the RBT project.
Run the self installer:To simply install this Campaign straight into a clean EAW 1.2 "full" install of the box version of EAW with all aircraft, cockpits terrains, speech etc as selected by Black Adder. You will also notice that the install includes an "Extra's folder" where alternative and extra planes, cockpits, ground objects etc can be substituted in Great Shot.By playing with these you will realize two things. 1. you can replace and delete certain items such as terrains or skies very easily. 2. You have to do it by trial and error as some combinations will conflict.
To install the package, follow these steps - it is strictly recommended not to switch a single one for correct use. After you got the installation-file called Ta183_Add-On_v10.exe, and follow the installation dialog after executing the file. After this initial step, follow the next ones as follows:1.: If you use ECA: Choose in ECA Panel the planes you like to see for 1945, do not choose the Ta 183A-1 under the 109K-slot. Note that the Bf 109G will be replaced afterwards. If you use other flightmodels or add-ons, note that nothing will be changed for any aircraft that is not the Bf 109G.2.: Execute Ta183.bat by double-click in the \Ta 183 Add-On\3dz\Ta183\ folder to install the Ta 183 Add-on to EAW. Backup copies will be made of all files that have to be replaced. This batch-file will add the flightmodel, career, nomenclature and artwork changes to EAW.Note that the installation process will show in the DOS-box sometimes error-messages like missing files, etc. Ignore that please, everything will work correctly.Keep in mind that from now on, as long as the Add-On is installed, all changes with ECA for other planes will immediately remove the Ta 183 flightmodel in the Bf 109G-slot. If you use ECA when the Ta 183 is installed, you have to install the add-on again.3a.: Start EAW. The Ta 183A-1 is now available in Single Missions as the former Bf 109G, for flight by the user or as opponent in Allied fighter missions. The cockpit is the one of the Me 262 with edited covers for the former instruments of the second engine, the wing-view is completely new shaped with correct wing-angle and colour. You will have full access via armament board in the hangar to rockets, bombs and droptanks. In the 1944-career, the first German squadron is now I./EKdo 183, equipped at the beginning with Me 262, the missions start in July 1945.3b.: For use of a different skin, use the skin-packages as like other skins for EAW-aircraft. All 3d-data is included, so they can be configured as like all the other skins with new models, etc. in Stab or Skins-n-More.4.: The other additions to the Ta 183 Add-On like the new screens or the sound and radio-enhacement are separate downloads, so it's up to the users if they want to use them or not.5.: For uninstall, execute un_Ta183.bat to restore your former EAW-installation and remove the Ta 183 Add-on from your sim. Note that this procedure does not change the screens or sounds you installed as well, the Ta 183-screens and sounds have to be removed manually or with the configuration of Stab or Skins-n-More. 781b155fdc
