Arlindo was inspired at an early age by Mozambique's most celebrated artist Malangatana Ngwenha from Matalan, a village in the south of Portuguese Mozambique. Arlindo, was born October 26, 1969 in Inhabane Province, Mozambique he began painting his career as an artist 1989.


Due to the civil war in Mozambique, he was forced to flee to South Africa without his family in 1990.  Since taking up residency in Johannesburg he worked as a driver delivering beer for the largest brewery in the country. He used his income to resume painting after hours and weekends and in 1996 fulltime.


Arlindo Maude is a storyteller and he use his art to share those stories. He has participated in numerous  group exhibitions and workshops.

His artworks have been sold to collectors across the South Africa, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Jamaica, Dubai and India.
